2005 NEWS OCTOBER 1ST: Axel Rudi Pell have postponed the release date of their new CD from February 2006 to May / June 2006 due to the co-producer / egnineer Charlie Bauerfeind because he is working on the new Blind Guardian CD. The band will start the recordings in January 2006. Axel Rudi Pell promises that it will be a real masterpiece and it definately will be worth the wait. The band will play some more Summer festivals in 2006 and it is scheduled to have their own tour during September/October 2006.
Next Wednesday, the website will make 4 years online and I'm planning in collecting MP3's from bands that have covered Axel Rudi Pell tunes and make it available online through this website a "Tribute to Axel Rudi Pell" CD.

APRIL 3RD: Axel and Volker will also play live at the "Rock Classic Allstars" concert at the Zeche Bochum, Germany on April 22nd. This is a concert featuring several musicians (em Kay - Martin Kesici - Star Search Winner), Jeff Brown (ex-The Sweet), Niko Arvanitis and Peter Szigeti (ex-Warlock), Kai Hoffmann (Secret Discovery), Holger Aden (ex-VFL Bochum soccer Star on the Drums) among others, performing some alltime Rock classic songs. JANUARY 21st: Axel Rudi Pell will now concentrate on new song ideas. The band will appear on some festivals like "Bang Your Head (June 24th / June 25th)", "Wacken Open Air (August 4th / August 8th)" and "Graspop (June 4th)". The band plans to start recording their new CD in September / October which will be released in Europe in January 2006 through SPV. A tour will take place around March / April 2006.
2004 NEWS SEPTEMBER 15th: Axel Rudi Pell will make some acoustic shows in Germany, where the fans will have the chance to "meet and greet", entry is FREE, during the week of the release of "The Ballads III", due on October 25th, check page Releases to see the artwork and full tracklist. In other news, there will not be a 2nd leg of the "Kings And Queens Tour".
AUGUST 6th: Axel Rudi Pell and the band are currently in the studio recording three tracks for the new ballad CD, "The Ballads III", tentatively due on October 25th through SPV Records. The three songs being recorded are "Don't Say Goodbye (new song)", "Forever Angel (new acoustic version)" and "The Temple Of The King (Rainbow cover)". In other news, the band will play at the Lorca Rock Festival in Spain on August 14th. The second leg of the Kings And Queens tour is planned for late October/early November this year.
JUNE 10th: Axel Rudi Pell will enter the studio in August to record three new songs for "The Ballads III", due on October 25th through SPV Records. Among the new tracks will be a cover version of Rainbow's "Temple Of The King", which was recently played by the band on the first leg of Axel Rudi Pell 2004 tour. The second part is set for October / November in countries he never played before, and its possible for the band play in South America.
APRIL 24th: Axel Rudi Pell and the band will play a warm-up show to the Sweden Rock Festival at the Kulturfabrik in Krefeld, Germany on June 10th.
MARCH 25th: Axel Rudi Pell and the band will play an additional concert one day after the sold out show on Sunday, you can get your tickets at www.metaltix.de for the new show on Monday, April 26th. MARCH 7th: German hard rockers Pump have been added to the upcoming Axel Rudi Pell tour.
MARCH 5th: Thunderstone have been confirmed to be the opening act for the Axel Rudi Pell European tour. Check them out at www.thunderstone.org.
MARCH 3rd: Axel Rudi Pell has been confirmed to be playing at the Sweden Rock Festival 2004. The band will play on Saturday, June 12th, playing very early around noon on the main stage. And just a reminder, Axel's latest CD, "Kings And Queens", was released last Monday, April 1st.

JANUARY 10th: Here is the artwork of Axel's new CD, "Kings And Queens", due in Europe on March 1st. Axel and the band will be on tour later this year. I have added all the info on the new CD in the Discography section.
2003 NEWS DECEMBER 20th: Axel Rudi Pell have announced the tracklist of the new CD, entitled "Kings & Queens":

OCTOBER 3rd: Axel Rudi Pell will start the recordings of his new CD at the end of next week and the new songs will go a little bit back to the "Oceans Of Time" era.
APRIL 18th: Axel Rudi Pell will appear live at the classic metal night at the Zeche Bochum, Germany on April 29th with an orchestra, this is not the show with the complete band, only Axel. Axel will play 4-5 songs as special guest, Doro and some more special guests on some songs.
JANUARY 17th: Axel is now writing songs for his new CD, which will be recorded some time in late Summer, the new CD will not be released before January 2004 with an European tour following on February/March 2004 including some festivals.
2002 NEWS NOVEMBER 30th: Axel have pushed back one week the release date of his first-ever DVD in Europe to December 9th. The NTSC version for America and Japan still not before January 2003.
NOVEMBER 21st: Due to technical production, the release date of Axel's DVD "Knight Treasures (Live And More)" unfortunately had to be delayed again. The european PAL version will be released on December 2nd, the NTSC version for America and Japan will be released not before January 2003.
NOVEMBER 13th: Axel has delayed the release date of the DVD to November 25th.
OCTOBER 26th: The DVD "Knight Treasures (Live And More)" will be release as planned before, on November 18th. Click here to see all the info on the DVD.

OCTOBER 19th: The release date of Axel Rudi Pell's first ever live DVD "Knight Treasures (Live And More)" has been pushed back to early 2003. Here are all details of the DVD:
Disc 1: - Live show at the Zeche/Bochum;
Disc 2: - Interviews (with English subtitles) with all band members incl. the female background singers "The Pell Princesses" (ca. 34 min.);
- Pell speaks about his career with comments from the band members;
- Interview with producer Ulli Poesselt at Eurosound Recording Mobile;
- Fancam: impressions of the show day at the Zeche by a fan;
- Interviews with fans (among others a Blackmore table) and one of the personal security guys (Berni from Hells Angels MC Essen);
- After-show-scenes at Zechen-Restaurant;
- Making of "Shadow Zone": A making of by Axel Rudi Pell about the work to the last studio CD (ca. 40 min.);
- 2 videoclips: "Cry Of The Gypsy" and Steeler's "The Deeper The Night".

SEPTEMBER 18th: Unfortunately, some of the parts of the upcoming DVD "Knight Treasures (Live And More)" aren't finished yet, the release of the DVD had to be postponed back to November 18th. The live 2-CD "Knights Live" which you can see the cover artwork below, will be released as planned on October 21st.

The DVD "Knight Treasures (Live and more)" will include all those tracks plus interviews with the band members, after show shots from the gig at the Zeche in Bochum/ Germany, "The Making Of Shadow Zone", the videos for "The Cry Of The Gypsy" (with Jeff Scott Soto on vocals) and Steeler's "The Deeper The Night". The sound formats available on this DVD will be PCM Stereo and Dolby Digital Surrond 5.1. Both releases are scheduled for a release on October 21st.
JULY 5th: The Axel live 2-CD entitled "Knights Live" will be released in Europe on October 21st, as well as the upcoming DVD entitled "Knight Treasures (Live And More)". The live 2-CD will feature recordings from the April/May 2002 tour and the DVD will contain some more specials besides this.
MAY 15th: The setlist that Axel and the band played on the two concerts at "Bochum" and "Hamburg" that will be released in DVD and the live 2-CD was: "Edge Of The World", "Nasty Reputation", "Tear Down The Walls", "Medley (The Masquerade Ball/Casbah incl. Drum solo and one verse of Stargazer)", "Follow The Sign", "Fool Fool", "Carousel (incl. Keyboard solo), "The Clown Is Dead", "Call Her Princess", "Snake Eyes (1st encore)" and "Warrior (2nd encore)", it's just wait for the live 2-CD/DVD that will gonna be released on October 2002.
APRIL 29th: Today the new CD "Shadow Zone" have been released.
MARCH 26th: Axel has delayed the release of the new CD one week, the new release date is April 29th.
MARCH 22nd: One month to the release of Axel new CD "Shadow Zone", and you can find out all the info of the new CD at page Releases.
MARCH 20th: The new CD "Shadow Zone" comes along in Axel's typical mystical hard rock sound adding some new influences here and there from bands/artists such as Led Zepellin and Jimi Hendrix at the epics mostly "Under The Gun". Of course, you can still hear his likes for artists like DIO and Rainbow "Live For The King". Fans of ballads will really enjoy "All The Rest Of My Life", and the aforementioned "Under The Gun" and the very tasteful "Heartbreaker". The CD will offer a total playing of 61 minutes.

2001 NEWS DECEMBER 26th: Axel Rudi Pell is busy recording his next solo CD, entitled "Shadow Zone", for a late April release through SPV/Steamhammer Records in Europe. So far, the drums, rhythm guitars and the bass have been laid down, and the group hope to complete the rest by the end of January. Expect some of Axel's best songs so far, full of power and emotion!
DECEMBER 20th: You can find an information mail about Europe's biggest metal market/fair convention which will happen on December 26th in Cologne, Germany where Axel will appear at a signing session. More info at: www.metalboerse.de.
OCTOBER 11th: The name of the new Axel Rudi Pell CD is "Shadow Zone", is gonna be out in May 2002.
